Dr. Charles Louis Metz was an archeologist, obstetrician, school board member, fire department founder, and all-around “Mr. Madisonville.” His majestic home has seen many uses over the years and is now in need of attention. The Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (MCURC) is raising funds to fully rehabilitate the house in historic character. The renovation will include roof repairs, new windows, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical updates. When work is complete, it will provide office space for small businesses, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs.
