She didn’t become a lawyer like she wanted to back then. She helped in other ways, though, raising her four daughters as best she could and advising their friends when the teen years got tough.

But when Cincinnati Police Officer Sonny Kim was gunned down in Madisonville on June 19, Chambers-Cunningham decided she had to do something bigger. She knew Kim as a neighborhood police officer, a man who cared about people and always had a smile on his face.”
